The Orland Fire Protection District responded to an emergency call from the construction crew working on La Grange Road Saturday (October 10, 2015) at around 10 am where a driver was reported pinned inside the cabin of a truck that had turned over at the road construction site.
Battalion Chief Nick Cinquepalmi, who was at the scene, said that emergency fire responders from the Orland Fire Protection District found the driver of a construction dump truck pinned inside the cabin of the truck in the driver’s side.
The truck had tipped over while navigating through construction site debris located on the Southwest corner of La Grange Road and 159th Street.
The construction site is a holding station for trucks, equipment and construction debris, materials and refuse before it is carted away for disposal.
The unnamed driver was taken to Silver Cross Hospital for continued treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Cinquelpalmi said.
