Santa Claus stops at Lyons Village Hall

Lyons 2014 Christmas Celebration for Children

This past Sunday, Santa Claus stopped by the Lyons Village hall for breakfast and pictures with children. The Village of Lyons Parks and Recreation department hosted the annual Breakfast with Santa.

“It was a great success” said, Frank Torres, Parks and Recreation Director. “We had over 300 people stop by for breakfast and to take their picture with Santa.”

The breakfast was free and many village employees donated their time to help make this the event a success. Egg Beaters Café of Lyons volunteered their time to serve the residents.

“I would like to thank Egg Beater’s for making all the food and helping to serve our residents. I also applaud our Village Staff for coming out on their day off to generously give back to the community,” said Mayor Christopher Getty. “Most importantly, it was so good to see so many come out to help put smiles on the faces of our children.”

The Breakfast with Santa event was the last of the three events the Village of Lyons hosted for the holiday season.
