West Suburban mayors endorse Dorothy Brown “The Court Clerk’s office has been the most progressive under [Brown’s] administration”

On TUESDAY, JAN 12, 2016, West Suburban Mayors, Mayor Joe Tamburino of Hillside, IL, Mayor James Discipio of Lagrange Park, IL, Mayor Sam Pulia of Westchester, IL, Mayor Dr. Frank Pasquale of Bellwood, IL, Mayor Ben Mazzulla of Stone Park, IL, Mayor Edwenna Perkins of Maywood, IL, and Mayor Ronald Serpico of Melrose Park, IL gathered at a morning press conference to announce their collective endorsement of 15 year incumbent Dorothy Brown for re-election as Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County.

“I’m endorsing Court Clerk Dorothy Brown for re-election because she is the most qualified candidate and the best person for the job,” said Bellwood Mayor Pasquale. “Most importantly, the Court Clerk’s office has been the most progressive under her administration.”

Maywood Mayor Perkins noted that her support of Brown is summed up in one word: Experience. “Clerk Brown’s knowledge and experience about running an effective Clerk of Court office is unmatched,” Mayor Perkins said.

“I am very excited that all of these well-respected mayors, who collectively represent more than 100,000 Cook County citizens, are voicing their full support of and confidence in my leadership as the Clerk of the Circuit Court,” Clerk Brown said. “We all share the same goals: to serve people with integrity and empower communities as a whole.” 

Dorothy Brown’s motto for running the Court Clerk’s office is “professionalism over politics” and she is committed to increasing access to justice for all of the citizens of Cook County. She has earned a reputation for being both “unbought and unbossed.”

Brown is seeking re-election in the March 15th Primary.
